1998 | Naoto Araki (vocal) / Masashi Suzuki (guitar)
KING GOBLIN has started in 1998 by Masashi Suzuki (guitar) and Naoto Araki (vocal). Our concept of songwriting is "total heavy music". It means refusing categorization. Today there are too many categories of heavy music. For example death, doom, thrash, grind core, gothic, black metal and so on. But we were not able to choose one.
2000 | Naoto Araki (vocal) / Masashi Suzuki (guitar) / Hidetosh Ehara (guitar)
In 2000 Hidetoshi Ehara (guitar) joined. "KILLING BREWERY COMPANY. LIMITED" (demo) was released from our self label it is named SMELL ROT MUSIC. It is included 7 songs. But a drummer and a bassist were not fixed for a long time. In 2002, Araki changed his part to drums and decided to sing with playing drums.

We had a many shows around Tokyo. In meanwhile, we met a lot of bands, DEFILED, BUTCHER ABC, ANATOMIA, COFFINS, REDWOOD BLUES, EARTH BLOW, BOVRIL and more. We needed to build up a style of trio-KING GOBLIN. Ehara was playing baritone guitar connected to the bass amp at that time. We released "DEMO 2003" on 2003. It was reviewed on some webzines. "Devil's Formula" and "From Dusk 'til You Die" was rearranged for trio. We recorded the song called "Black Mountain (Birmingham Queen) ". This is a cover song of Mountain's Mississippi Queen. In 2004 "DEMO 2004" was released. It was included "MOTORDEAD". We joined the tour of OUTRAGE at QUATTRO (SHIBUYA) with COCOBAT, SURVIVE, OUTBURST on 2004. Ehara changed the guitar to bass guitar afterwards.

Motordead demo was compilation of "DEMO 2003" and "DEMO 2004" including seven songs and remastered for it. In 2005, we organized Japan tour of Aussie grind rock band BLOOD DUSTER. This experience progressed our musical power to the next step.
In the summer of 2005, we started to record an album at NOISE ROOM STUDIO. This project was not so easy. It took two years to finish it. Four slow tunes was mixed by Momota (Keyboard player of Japanese prog death band "GONIN-ISH"), five rockin' tunes was mixed by ourself. An album including these nine songs was named "GOBLIN KING". We released this album 22 April 2007 and went out to the road. Gallhammer, BUTCHER ABC, ANATOMIA, COFFINS and OUTRAGE joined release party. This album was picked up by many zines and web sites.
Masashi Suzuki left KING GOBLIN by the personal reasons in the spring of 2009. Kelly Churko joined KING GOBLIN with no blank. He is also playing in the grind core band AKBK with Araki.
